When I’m hungry, I’m hungry. No ifs, ands, or buts. This is especially true in the mid-afternoons. I get into a mid-afternoon slump and for me I just need a little pick me up that gives me a little boost and back on track for the rest of the day. I am especially looking for snacks that can give me protein and a bit of sweetness and this is where SNICKERS® comes in. Thus, I was really excited to be asked to go out and pick up a few of these great candy bars at my local Speedway convenience store thanks to #CollectiveBias.
Lately I have been seeing Snickers’ campaign asking who you become when your’re hungry? I love this #WhenImHungry campaign as I have felt this way many times, especially after a hard day, where everything seems to be going wrong, or when you just are lacking in energy. That being said, I would have to say that sometimes I feel like the Whiners on SNL
I feel like this until I get my day back on track and getting that extra protein and energy really helps.
I had not tried some of the new varieties of SNICKERS® that are on the market. That being said, I have to say that the Snickers Extreme and the SNICKERS® Peanut Butter are probably my favorites. They are both really different, but both are amazing!
I love to have these snacks in my desk for those emergency days. I will be honest and say that these are not for the everyday occurrence, but I do need them every now and again and when I do, having them on hand really helps. As you can see in the pictures, I have kept a few in my backpack (I have had to use this lately due to the fact that I am on crutches with a broken ankle), but also in my desk drawer too. Both are great places that help me to have the energy I need when I need it.
I also have to comment that I appreciate that they have broken the Snickers into two halves. This allowed me to be able to ration what I ate and limit the calories too. It is not always easy to be good and only eat one half, but the package is made so that I can and this really makes it convenient to help be be good! It also helps you in your portion controls too, so if you are trying to watch your portions this will definitely help. The Snickers bars also are great because they fill you up. With the amount of protein that you have in each bar you get a ton of protein that definitely fills you up between meals (or at least it did for me).
With SNICKERS® I no longer need to be one of the Whiners and instead I can get my day back on track and finish off the day strong and you can too!
